Demo recording: Fanfare for Santa Barbara Harbor Fanfare for Santa Barbara Harbor
This exciting work begins with a loud, aggressive fanfare. The middle section is more melodic and subdued, although hints of the fanfare theme from the opening gradually work their way into the texture. The opening material then takes over completely for an exciting conclusion. The Fanfare for Santa Barbara Harbor works perfectly as an opener or closer!
Fanfare for Santa Barbara Harbor was composed in June 2005 and is dedicated to the composer's nephew, Lewis Scott Bartholomew. It was premiered by the Canberra City Band in Temora, Australia, on November 27, 2005.
